Website and contact

Useful Geometry operates this static website to explain its custom CAD design and functional FDM printing services. Email is the working customer-contact channel at launch.

Entering information on the Start a Project page does not send it to Useful Geometry. The page prepares a message when you choose to open an email draft or copy it for webmail. Draft fields remain in tab memory while you navigate within the site and clear when you reload or close it. Useful Geometry receives your inquiry only if you send it from your email account.

Information Useful Geometry receives

When you email Useful Geometry, you may voluntarily provide your name, email address, project description, measurements, photographs, sketches, drawings, CAD or other project files, intended-use details, delivery details, and correspondence about a project.

That information becomes an ordinary business record used to evaluate and perform work, prepare quotes, document agreed requirements, provide support or remakes, and maintain appropriate accounting, legal, and dispute records.

Website infrastructure information

Useful Geometry does not maintain a separate visitor-tracking database. Cloudflare may process ordinary technical network, routing, security, and request information to host and protect this website. That infrastructure processing is different from information Useful Geometry intentionally asks you to provide.

At launch, Useful Geometry does not intentionally use optional third-party analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, cross-site behavioral tracking, targeted advertising, or persistent browser storage for project information.

How information is used and retained

Useful Geometry uses project information only as reasonably needed to understand an inquiry, ask clarification questions, prepare a quote, perform accepted work, communicate with you, provide support, and keep ordinary business records.

As practical internal targets, unconverted inquiries may be kept for about 12 months after meaningful contact; completed-project correspondence and material project records for about 5 years; and invoices, payment, and tax records for about 7 years when applicable. Raw reference material is kept only while reasonably useful. Records may be kept longer when needed for an active project, legal obligation, dispute, security matter, remake, support, or other legitimate business need.

Limited sharing

Useful Geometry does not sell or rent customer information. Information may be shared only as reasonably needed with Cloudflare for website infrastructure, an email provider for communications, a shipping carrier when shipment is requested, professional advisers when reasonably necessary, or authorities when required by law.

Useful Geometry does not use data brokers or optional analytics at launch. Other service providers are used only if Useful Geometry actually adopts the service and updates its practices as appropriate.

Reasonable requests

As a voluntary business practice, you may ask Useful Geometry to identify personal information it reasonably maintains about you, correct inaccurate information, or delete information it no longer reasonably needs. Useful Geometry may verify a request and may retain records needed for transactions, accounting, taxes, disputes, legal obligations, security, remakes, or other legitimate business purposes.

Please send only what is needed

Photos, sketches, measurements, and reference files can incidentally contain personal information. Please avoid sending unrelated people, addresses, labels, account information, government identifiers, passwords, medical information, or other sensitive material unless it is genuinely necessary for the project.

The service is intended for adults. A parent or guardian should handle project and purchasing arrangements involving a minor.

Security

Useful Geometry uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small operation, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Useful Geometry does not make an absolute security promise.

No customer project inquiry is analyzed by an AI intake system at launch.

Changes to this policy

Useful Geometry may update this policy as practices change. Material changes will be reflected on this page for future website use and future project contact.
